Before this visit I hadn’t been in the state of Florida in about ten years. This time Florida would be different, I would be the well-dressed, sophisticated 23 year old rather than the awkwardly lanky 13 year old. Unfortunately all of the planning in the world couldn’t prepare me for the reality of Floridian weather. In other words the heat totally affected my outfits! Coming from New England I am a fan of layers, and variety. Two things that flew out of the window when facing 80+ degree weather, humidity and more sunshine than I am used to. But honestly, it was great leaving my comfort zone and I definitely want to do that more often.
