Mastering Fashion in a Casual Work Environment.

We're all aware that how we're dressed positively impacts productivity as well as the perception of our contributions, credibility, and potential for growth by others. However, as many companies continue implementing relaxed dress codes, casual Fridays, and telecommuting, the advice to, “Dress for the job you want,” though effective, can be confusing.

If you work in an environment where business attire is the only attire, try these tips to refresh your work wardrobe.  But for those of you in an office that has casual Fridays (or causal every days), here’s a bit of style inspiration that will keep you looking professional to secure your upward mobility:

IN THE OFFICE:

Be intentional with your casual attire by balancing relaxed pieces with tailored ones. Think dark pants/denim with blazers and jackets or pencil skirts with casual blouses.

WORKING FROM HOME:

We recommend ditching the PJs and dressing as if you were going into the office. However, if optimal comfort is your top priority, lean toward soft, linen blend fabrics that accompany athleisure, jumpsuits and paperbag-waist pants. Focus structuring the top half of your ensemble so you're always ready for that impromptu video conference.

Regardless of your work environment, what’s the biggest thing you struggle with when getting ready for work that we can help you with? Let us know in the comments!
